H. Campbell Cleare, III is an experienced transactional attorney who has honed his legal expertise for over 35 years. Campbell studied at the University of the West Indies, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in International Relations degree and a Bachelor of Law degree. He was admitted to The Bahamas Bar in 1979.
A leading transactional attorney, Campbell is routinely involved in matters involving real estate, banking and finance, corporate and commercial law, and employment law. His expertise includes advising on all financing aspects of large and mid-scale projects, hotel acquisitions, and development and energy generation. Regarded as a leading transactional attorney, Campbell is often called upon to represent clients in high-profile project finance transactions.
Campbell has been involved with the transfer of ownership in the three leading providers of fuel products to the automotive, commercial and industrial, and aviation sectors in The Bahamas. Campbell’s representative work is extensive and includes acting on behalf of one of the largest multinational banks worldwide. His legal counsel was instrumental in facilitating the purchase of a company involved in the aviation industry.
Campbell and his team have also acted as local legal counsel to a syndicate of lenders in the financing of a loan facility to Nassau Airport Development Company Limited for the refurbishment and development of the Lynden Pindling International Airport.
In addition to his professional achievements within the legal arena, Campbell is an avid golfer and spends much of his ‘free’ time on the golf course. He is a family man and loves being surrounded by his grandchildren.
