J. Oliver Liddell

Mr. Liddell was a former partner and now a consultant of the firm. He was admitted to the English and Bahamian Bar in 1983. He is a member of Middle Temple and became a partner of the firm in 1991. Mr. Liddell’s career has spanned almost four decades at McKinney, Bancroft & Hughes. He is well-versed in areas of the law that involve commercial litigation, insolvency, banking & trust
law, company law, condominium and gated community developments, land law and conveyancing, applications for foreign businesses, franchises and residency.

Mr. Liddell’s strengths lie in his ability to quickly analyze and understand his clients’ concerns. Thereafter it is his effectiveness in providing objective legal advice and reasonable expectations. Effectively utilizing the resources within McKinney, Bancroft & Hughes in order to deliver results that align with his clients’ expectations and needs is an important consideration for Mr. Liddell.

Outside of the firm, Mr. Liddell enjoys spending time with his family, sailing, fishing, and playing tennis. He is an avid sports fan. He has represented The Bahamas in rugby and squash and has won numerous yachting races and regattas. Mr. Liddell’s other interests include world history, conservation of the environment, and cooking.
