After serving Articles of Clerkship under the late Paul H. Bethel, Mr. Paul D.Knowles was admitted to the Bahamas Bar in 1978. Mr. Knowles' areas of expertise include shipping, corporate and financial services, mutual funds, conveyancing, probate and intellectual property matters.

Mr. Knowles' practice involves advising clients on the registration of vessels under the Bahamas Merchant Shipping Act and also various European and Far Eastern banks with respect to securitization in connection with the construction/purchase of vessels. He also advises clients on the utilization of relevant structures for offshore transactions and the issuance of formal opinions related to such structures.

Mr. Knowles has written articles for several shipping publications including Shipping Finance Annual and is in charge of the firm's Intellectual Property Department.
