Miss Gonsalves-Sabola has worked in collaboration with the Senior Partner of the firm and head of the litigation department, Mr. Brian Moree QC, as a Registered Associate between 1996 and 2009. She was admitted as Counsel and Attorney of the Supreme Court of the Bahamas in 2009. Her areas of expertise include commercial and civil litigation, insolvency, trusts, employment law and competition law.
Miss Gonsalves-Sabola received a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom in 1993. In 1994 she was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales as a member of the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn. She subsequently received a Master of Laws Degree in Business Law from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth in the United Kingdom in 1996. Upon completion of the prescribed course of training at the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica, Miss Gonsalves-Sabola was enrolled as a Registered Associate in the Bahamas and as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Judicature of Jamaica in 1996. She was later admitted to practice as a Barrister-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Judicature (High Court of Justice) in Antigua and Barbuda in 1998.
Miss Gonsalves-Sabola is the Chair of the Firm's Competition Law Practice Group.
Miss Gonsalves-Sabola is the co-author of a chapter on The Bahamas in the European Lawyer Reference Textbook on Multinational Enterprise Liability in Insolvency Proceedings. |
