Genell K. Sands joined the firm in 1998 as an Associate in the Litigation Department.
Mrs. Sands obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in History with Distinction from The
College of the Bahamas in 1994 before pursuing her legal studies. In 1997 she obtained a
Bachelor of Laws Degree with Honours from the University of Leeds, England and in
June, 1998 Mrs. Sands achieved a grade of very competent upon successfully completing the Bar Vocational Course at the College
of Law in London, England.
In July, 1998 Mrs. Sands was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales as a Member of
the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn and in September, 1998 she was admitted to the
Bahamas Bar. She has also delivered presentations to large institutional clients in the
areas of insurance and personal injury and constructive trusts.
Her practice areas are civil and commercial litigation, arbitration, dispute resolution, company liquidations and employment law. Her areas of expertise include insurance law, personal injury litigation, fatal accident claims, industrial accidents and employment law. |
