April Turner joined Mckinney Bancroft & Hughes as an associate in 1997. Mrs. Turner is head of MB&H Corporate Services, Ltd.
Mrs. Turner is a past director of the Family Planning Association and was seconded to
Barclays Bank PLC in 2001 for three months in the compliance area. She has conducted
seminars for institutional clients on anti-money-laundering /compliance laws and has
delivered speeches on family law in the Bahamas. Mrs. Turner regularly attends
conferences in related fields.
Mrs. Turner obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University in Hamilton,
Canada in 1991. In 1995 she obtained a dual honours Bachelor of Arts degree in law and
criminology from the University of Keele, Stafford, England. In 1996 she was admitted
to the Bar of England and Wales as a member of the Honourable Society of Inner Temple
and in 1997 Mrs. Turner was admitted to the Bahamas Bar. Currently Mrs. Turner is the
firm’s Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering Officer.
