Erin M. Hill

Erin M. Hill is a senior associate of the firm who is well-versed in a variety of practice areas, including banking and finance, corporate and commercial litigation, and trusts/private client litigation.

Erin attended Davidson College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Literature and Language and a minor in Philosophy in May 2012. While at Davidson College, she spent a semester abroad in Salamanca, Spain, where she studied at the University of Salamanca while fully immersed in the local culture. During her time there, Erin became fluent in Spanish and acquired an in-depth of knowledge in Spanish literature and culture.

In 2012, Erin relocated to the United Kingdom to begin her legal studies. She attended City University London, where she completed her Bachelors of Laws degree with First Class Honours in 2014.

Erin then enrolled in the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) and completed the program in 2015. She became an ADRgroup Accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator that same year, after the successful completion of a course in alternative dispute resolution.

Erin was called to The Bahamas Bar on 2015. She joined McKinney, Bancroft, and Hughes that same year, where she continues to lend her expertise in all matters relating to corporate and commercial law, as well as civil litigation and disputes. In October 2016, Erin received a Masters of Law in Professional Legal Skills with Commendation. Erin’s Masters of Law focused on Arbitration and whether the advancement and metamorphosis of Arbitration has made it a form of litigation in disguise or whether it is still a distinctive solution to international commercial disputes.

A devout Christian, Erin is a member of East Street Gospel Chapel. She is an avid runner and has completed various half marathons and 10 kilometer races in Miami, Nassau, London and Paris. She also enjoys spending quality time with her family, and has a passion for cooking and baking.

  • Awarded the Joan Denning Prize for attaining the top results as a student from a Commonwealth Country in Lincoln’s Inn
  • Awarded the Buchanan Award for receiving an ‘Outstanding’ grade in her Bar final examinations.
